The Middle East Question: Is There Such a Thing For Peace Between Palestine and Israel?

Battle over a small strip of land, is that really worth fighting for??? Everyday I read the news that someone has shot people; car bombs went off; suicide bombs everywhere. Is this the way to get peace? If you really look at things closely, why don't you ask yourself why people are blowing themselves up. I can sort of answer that, it is a cry for help. Okay, that is what I gather from watching the news. I also thought of including this quote from a book I was reading by Jim Wallis, "...the loss of hope creates violence" that could explain why people are causing terrorist actions daily. So, the question remains "how can violence cease". Well, I thought of these questions/solutions: 1. no religious document [Koran, Torah, Bible, etc...] says to blowup your brother [sister] because of religious differences. I don't see it. 2. try to get both nations together, Palestinian and Israeli children in school together so they can learn peaceful tactics 3. make your own Middle East Plan. Show the world that you can make peace. I know you can. 4. End of all forms of violence (use of non-violence resistance by pursuing alternative strategies) 5. Noting that the Palestinians and Jews already live in a close proximity to each other in villages and towns within Palestine. Therefore, an encouragement is needed for putting both Israeli and Palestine children together in the same school system that is funded and managed by the UN system. 6. With the ongoing violence in Palestine, a reflection of the heart’s cry of both Palestinian and Israeli people for their own independent state and also the suicide bombing and Israeli military actions against civilians is a major concern to the world: 7. all forms of violence, in any way, shape or form need to stop. For example, I think that anyone who owns both guns and explosives equipment need to get rid of them quickly. In other words, they need to give peace a chance. 8.People blowing them up are a cry for help because they are sick of all of the chaos between the two nations who hate each other when in reality there is no reason to hate. If you look at the Bible, one of the Commandments in the there says to love thy neighbour. What happened to that one? The Torah/Bible/Koran do not anywhere state that people should be killing their brother/neighbour over a piece of land also the Torah/Bible/Koran and any religious document wants peace not war. 9. we need to keep in mind that ongoing efforts to assist both Israel and Palestine through the United Nations agencies and bilateral efforts and we are in confident that both nations can govern their state effectively if violence against the people ceases and an adequate state infrastructure is provided; 10. Most of the Arab League does not recognize both Israel and Palestine; The Arab extremists don't feel that a peace suitable to them can be accomplished without extreme acts of violence and the elimination of American influence in the region. 11. Peace talks, regardless if leaders dislike each other, must put their hatred aside and think of their own nation and 12. The inhumane things (that are happening daily), must be held, not only between Palestinian and Israeli leaders but also between government officials and civilians of different backgrounds. Both Palestinian and Israeli people and the government need to establish equal rights to each individual, regardless of religious beliefs, race and ethnicity. I think if people try this out for size, they can start to achieve peace. |
