Are you Pro Palestine or Pro Israel?

by: Young Diplomats

I feel like I am playing a video game on Nintendo titled: Palestine and Israel. The Description: A true game where you get to decide who will win the small piece of land called: the Gaza Strip. You get to choose which weapons to fight with and which side you support. But be careful if you choose the wrong side, you will be blown up to pieces.

Okay that is what I feel like anyway. I read an article in the Belgian News that four Belgians were arrested for being pro-Palestine. I then read another article that stated Sharon does not want to kill Arafat. Then what is this shooting and killing all about? I remember back in 2001 when Sharon wanted to kill Arafat. I remember being involved with the Model Arab League at my university and representing a nation such as: Kuwait, Egypt and U.A.E. while making Resolutions how to make peace in Palestine (I was on a committee called: Palestinian Affairs). All of my resolutions passed and I saved them thinking that I could use them in the future (I am still going to do so). But now this is the present time: 2003, almost 2004. People are divided on the whole Palestinian and Israel issue.

Before I left to come to London, England in May of this year, Mr. Powell was on CNN stating that the violence needs to cease. Ummm.. I would like to say something to that statement: DUH! Obviously the violence has to cease. Try this one for size: STOP GIVING WEAPONS! Then I want you to think of the lyrics in the cult song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen: "mama, just killed a man, put a gun against his head pulled my trigger now he is dead". Have we forgotten who gave the weapons to kill each other in Israel and Palestine? I haven't. Just look it up in the internet. We did. Yep. We kill people and we give guns to make sure other people get hurt so we have an excuse to send troops to make peace. Then the troops end up killing more civilians than suspected 'terrorists'. Wait a moment. Where have I heard this strategy before? Ahh.. now I remember! the game of RISK! Yes, the game where you can have world domination and money! Wouldn't that be great! I know I would love that! Hrm.. now I feel like playing RISK, want to join me? Do not worry there are no real guns in the game. Just good old-fashioned fun.
